Purpose of Job Position
Manage the collection, maintenance, and transmission of resident information for the Resident Assessment Instrument / Minimum Data Set / Care Plan process in accordance with the requirements of this state and the policies and goals of this facility.
Job Functions
Every effort has been made to identify the essential administrative/clerical functions of this position. However, it in no way states or implies that these are the only clerical administrative duties required to perform. Employee will work on both units of the facility and interact with the long term care residents and facility staff in an administrative/clerical capacity.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage the Resident Assessment Instrument process for completion and transmission of the (MDS) in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the resident assessment, including the implementation of CAAs (Care Assessment Areas) and the resident specific Care Plan.
2. Responsible for the completion of medical forms, reports, summaries, Quality Improvement documentation audits and report for review by the Quality Assurance Committee during scheduled meetings
3. Attend the Care plan Committee meetings with responsibility for reviewing, revising and updating the resident’s care plan by the interdisciplinary team after each quarterly review or other assessment.
4. Assist in monthly preparation of CNA Resident Care Records.
5. Participate in facility surveys (inspections) by authorized government agencies.
6. Receive and follow work schedule / instructions from NHA and DON as outlined in facility’s established policies and procedures.
7. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to assure resident information is properly maintained
8. Collect, assemble, audit and file resident information as required. Maintain resident charts as directed in accordance with established Medical Records policy for thinning and filing documents
9. Attend and participate in in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs including annual in-service training programs
10. Follow facility policies and procedures as outlined in employment agreement
11. Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information
12. Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately
13. Ensure supplies are replenished in work areas and work area remains clean and uncluttered prior to end of work day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
