Director of Development
In this small and emerging organization, the director of development is responsible for building and executing the development plan and implementing the information technology systems to support the function. She or he also is responsible for running special events and fundraisers.
Reporting to and in partnership with the Camp Director (CD), the Development Director (Director) will spearhead development efforts as Mission Creek Camp & Retreat Center, Inc. continues to grow. A new position in the organization, the Director will have the opportunity to build the development function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Mission Creek Camp and Retreat Center, Inc.'s annual fundraising plans
- Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
- Manage the implementation of the computer program and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major/minor donors
-Creating and executing a strategy for a large, sustained base of annual individual donors
-Overseeing organization of special events and fundraisers
- Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
Qualifications
- BA (required), MA (a plus)
- Five-plus year's experience in development
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
Salary plus Two weeks paid Vacation Plus 6 Personal/Sick Days per year
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
