Consumer Lending Operations - Consumer Loan Officer

• Must be detail oriented and to have the ability to exercise sound judgement when evaluating and underwriting loan requests that are not decisioned through the automated system.
• To be able to work cross functionally since this role will provide underwriting and lending support to other departments and branches.
• Must be able to understand how to interpret credit reports and search for red flags such as mismatched information, use caution with fraud alerts and act on findings accordingly.
• Be proactive in reviewing loan files for rate negotiations and exceptions to policy within guidelines.
• Must be able to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment!
• Understanding of the importance and support adherence to all Mission Fed departmental and security policies and procedures, as well as federal regulations application to the position, including BSA requirements.

Here is what we are looking for:

• High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is a must.
• A minimum of five years of consumer lending experience, including two years of consumer loan underwriting and three years of customer service experience is required.
• A credit union background and/or call center experience is preferred but not required.

Base Pay/Salary: $31.00 - $36.00 an hour
Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
