Early 3 year-olds Preschool Childcare Teacher

Mission Hills Church Preschool is looking for a Preschool Teacher for our early 3-year-old classroom. We offer a play-based/faith-based program and integrate age appropriate academics in all of our learning areas.

Job title: Preschool Teacher

• Will instruct and supervise children in a Christian preschool classroom. Will provide a safe nurturing environment for children. Will provide activities to promote social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth in children under 5 years of age preparing to enter Kindergarten.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a preschool classroom.
• Supervise children in classroom and on outdoor playground
• Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests
• Integrate Biblical principles as appropriate

Abilities

• Communicate effectively with parents, director, and fellow teachers
• Work collaboratively with other staff members
• Provide creative and engaging activities to promote learning of pre-kindergarten skills such as basic phonics and basic reading/writing skills.
• Be flexible while maintaining a classroom schedule and routine

Knowledge of

• Preschool classroom management techniques

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 semester ECE units

Special Requirements

• Recent TB Test (within 12 months of hire date)  Pertussis and MMR vaccine or proof of immunity

Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour
