Job Title: Teacher’s Aide (MINIMUM of 12 completed Early Childhood Education Units required)
Setting: Preschool serving children 2-5 years of age
Location: San Carlos Area near Cowles Mountain
Hours:
Part Time - 22.5 Hrs a week - 12:30-5:00 - Mon-Fri
Start: 1st week of February (starting in January is negotiable)
Job Summary:
· Teacher aide responsibilities include providing support to classroom teachers by working directly with students. In the classroom, teacher aide responsibilities may include working with students who need additional instruction, preparing materials and equipment for activities.
· To ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, physical and educational needs.
· Be able to utilize developmentally appropriate practice and best practice methods at all times.
· Be warm and nurturing with children.
· Be a positive role model for all caregiving staff and children.
Requirements:
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Fingerprint Clearance through LifeScan
· Applicants MUST have a minimum of 12 Child Family Development units. Must provide Official Transcripts.
· Updated shots (MMR, TB, Flu, DtaP)
· CPR and First aid certificate a plus but not required.
· Meets all requirements as set forth by the State of California, Department of Social Services (Title 22, Division 12, Chapters 1 & 2, Sections 101216 and 101216.3)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22.50 per week
