We're looking for a Senior Director, Corporate Affairs to join our team.

Mission North's Corporate Practice Group works across all of Mission North's practice verticals, helping clients build and protect their reputation, manage issues, navigate crisis moments, communicate their value to investors, and position their executives. Some clients we are proud to represent are : Canva, Mozilla, AppFolio, Opendoor Technologies, Marqeta, Zoom, LanzaTech and Snowflake.

Qualifications :

  • 8-10 years of experience at PR agencies
  • Adept at managing relationships with C-level executives at both large, established companies and high-growth venture-backed companies.
  • Ability to tap into a strong network of potential talent, partners and customers in order to support practice and business growth.
  • Experience helping clients navigate sensitive issues that impact reputation and license to operate
  • Experience in guiding clients through moments of acute or sustained crisis
  • Experience in financial and investor-focused communications, including quarterly earnings, investor conferences and IPO readiness
  • Experience helping clients or companies navigate legislative and regulatory developments and scrutiny.
  • Compelling communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong writer, able to distill complex topics and summarize research and insights.
  • Experience leading strategic workshops and initiatives including messaging, storyline development, thought leadership platform development and media training.
  • Exceptional creative and content development skills on technical topics.
  • Strong new business development skills with a proven track record of closing and retaining new clients.
  • Strong management skills, experience and genuine interest in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.

  • Here's what you would be doing day-to-day :

  • You will be responsible for client retention, product / service evolution, staff development and portfolio growth.
  • You'll collaborate with your peers who oversee other agency practice areas, such as Enterprise Technology, Life Sciences Health, Financial Services, and Sustainability,, working together on client programs.
  • Be a trusted strategic partner to Mission North clients, their executive teams, and promote reputation management and communications strategies that will help them reach their full potential.
  • Be a trusted advisor to clients navigating a complex stakeholder and issue environment, providing counsel, developing frameworks and always-on corporate communications programs to build and protect reputation
  • Collaborate on achieving practice revenue goals, talent development, agency marketing, lead generation and new business development
  • Lead and support new business efforts with minimal oversight. This includes overseeing proposals and pitch teams from start to finish during the pitch process.
  • Work with our specialists to provide clients with corporate-focused programs that integrate traditional PR, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Serve as a steward of Mission North's values and operating principles.
  • Mentor and coach staff across all levels of skills development.
  • Work closely with fellow account leads to direct account staffing and forecasting.
  • Represent Mission North and our clients at industry events for new business networking and personal professional development.

    Compensation

    Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills and prior relevant experience.

    Mission North cares about you and your overall well-being, and that's why we offer a comprehensive benefits package, for full-time employees, that includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan including an employer match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellbeing benefits, paid time off, paid parental leave, and several paid holidays, among others.

    Pay Range : Expected Salary range depending on experience : $160,000-$190,000, not including year end profit sharing bonus.
