What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Director, Public Affairs position at Mission North?
We are seeking a Senior Account Director to join Mission North's Corporate Practice. This person will report to our SVP and Corporate Practice Lead, Nick Maschari and will support clients targeting the public sector as well as clients that are navigating complex issues and opportunities tied to policy and regulatory shifts. Candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to work minimum two (2) days a week in office or on site with clients.
Who you are :
- You have 6-10 years of experience in an agency setting.
- You're curious, creative and entrepreneurial. Bringing smart questions, fresh thinking and novel approaches to communications defines your success.
- You have expertise in the enterprise tech's intersection with the public sector. You have a firm grasp on the trends and issues that are top of mind for technology decision makers within public sector agencies on local, state and federal levels.
- You have relationships with influencers, media and event producers that matter to technology vendors targeting the public sector, such as Washington Post, Politico, FedScoop, NextGov, World Economic Forum, Reagan Defense Forum, and Public Sector Summit.
- You're adept at directing executive thought leadership programs for C-level executives.
- You thrive when managing a team on the full scope of a comms program, including driving the team to consistently bring fresh and proactive ideas to clients, directing strategic planning moments, setting KPIs, and ensuring follow through on execution.
- You're adept at motivating a team to exceed goals and consistently deliver quality work, even if unforeseen issues or changes come up.
- You see the big picture to identify potential conflicts and address them before they become issues.
- You prioritize collaboration and believe in partnering with and building up a team.
- You've proven you can manage the account team budgets in an agency environment, never exceeding budget and ruthlessly prioritizing the programs that will deliver the highest business impact for clients.

Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills and prior relevant experience.

Pay Range : Expected Salary range depending on experience : $160,000-$190,000, not including year end profit sharing bonus.
