Our Fortune 500, Fortune's "Best Places to Work" client is looking for an experienced IT Manager. This role will contribute to IT strategies by managing staff and directing the implementation of technological solutions across diverse teams. The IT Manager will recommend and implement information technology strategies, policies, and procedures within functional units while ensuring successful execution across teams. A key focus of this position is managing and developing staff while overseeing the unit budget to achieve strategic department and team goals.
As the Manager of the Integration team, you will lead a team responsible for driving and executing integration strategies. The ideal candidate is a proven servant leader who excels in mentoring and growing team members, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving technical strategy in alignment with Enterprise Architecture. Success in this role requires the ability to understand the organization’s technical integration vision and strategy and effectively communicate and advocate for it across teams.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, select, coach, and develop team leadership, engineering, and support staff within the IT department.
- Manage professional growth and development plans for team members.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop team goals aligned with department objectives.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with IT leadership.
- Conduct performance and development reviews, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Lead problem management teams in solving high-complexity, high-impact enterprise issues.
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware and software solutions.
- Champion IT strategy within functional units.
- Oversee financial objectives, including budget forecasting, expense management, and variance analysis.
- Support strategic plans for implementing and maintaining IT solutions to optimize organizational efficiency.
- Define and enforce enterprise IT policies and procedures to protect information assets.
- Ensure integrations are delivered, monitored, and maintained to meet IT strategy and product development requirements.
- Align Integration team initiatives with product teams and Enterprise Architecture strategies.
- Foster strong collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, including enterprise architecture, product development, data analytics, and database teams.
Leadership & Talent Management:
- Manage a small to mid-sized team of experienced professionals, providing leadership and direction.
- Oversee team performance, including hiring, promotions, and rewards, with management approval.
Organizational Impact:
- Manage a cross-functional team focused on policy and strategy implementation.
- Develop operational plans contributing to short-term strategic goals (e.g., one year or less).
- Provide input into new products, processes, and standards within operational plans.
- Communicate the Integration team roadmap, delivery plans, and status updates regularly.
- Align Integration team initiatives with data analytics, product teams, and infrastructure roadmaps.
- Define, recommend, communicate, and implement IT integration strategies, policies, and procedures in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Practical experience leading and managing the execution of IT processes and projects.
- Advanced knowledge in a technical or professional discipline, with an understanding of its impact across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant IT experience.
- Hands-on technical experience in planning, designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-class application or integration solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including .NET, Web API, OData, Service Bus, and Azure API Management.
- Understanding of API-led software integration architectures, patterns, and methodologies.
- Expertise in system integration, including data integration across ERP platforms, CRM systems, and enterprise applications.
