Job Summary
The Advanced Wound Care Specialist provides high-quality patient care in the outpatient wound care clinic, evaluating inpatient wounds and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have current RN licensure, BCLS certification, and experience in acute care and wound care.
About This Role
- Deliver direct care to patients in the outpatient wound care clinic and assess inpatient wounds
- Foster effective communication with physicians, charge nurses, and other healthcare team members
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
To succeed in this position, you must possess a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state, BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current, and previous acute care hospital experience. Additionally, wound care knowledge and/or experience are highly desirable, with Wound Care Certification preferred within the first year of hire.
