Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching, and supervising other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.

This position requires excellent communication skills, as the nurse must effectively communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.

Responsibilities

* Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice
* Directs and guides patient/family teaching
* Supervises other nursing personnel
* Maintains standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit
* Communicates effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications

* Current and valid state RN License
* Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
* Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
* Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
* Ventilator Management experience preferred
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
