What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Manager position at Mission Staffing?
A hedge fund with more than $10B AUM is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Manager. The role will be a mix of accounts payable, management, and process improvement/streamlining the accounts payable process for the firm. The firm offers a lot of flexibility, room for growth, and exposure, not to mention they pay well!
- Supervise and mentor a junior team member, fostering their professional growth and integration into firm processes.
- Oversee and manage the full accounts payable (AP) cycle, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and reconciliations.
- Review and approve various payment methods, including wires, ACH transfers, online payments, and checks.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Maintain and enhance AP workflows by leveraging automation tools and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage vendor relationships, promptly resolving discrepancies and ensuring smooth payment processing.
- Allocate expenses to funds in accordance with prescribed policies, collaborating with internal teams to ensure accuracy.
- Administer the fund reimbursement process, including the collection, reconciliation, and substantiation of fund receivables.
- Monitor and manage employee expense reporting and reimbursements.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities, including accruals, expense trending, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, operations, and legal to streamline payment processes.
- Prepare and analyze AP reports, track key metrics, address overdue invoices, and identify areas for improvement.
They are in the office 3x per week in NYC.
Base Salary Range: $125K - $145K
Bonus Range: $25K - $45K
Requirements:
4-9 Years of AP Experience from a Fund
Experience with Stavpay, Concur, and/or Quickbooks is a plus.
