Our client, a Private Equity firm based in Midtown, NYC, is seeking to add a Fund Accountant to their Finance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with 2-6 years of experience in fund accounting to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software, with a strong background in financial statement preparation, fund accounting, and financial reporting (Dynamo experience is a plus). The role requires expertise in analyzing complex financial data, including NAV and waterfall calculations, IRR, carried interest, performance metrics, partner allocations and an understanding of the master-feeder investment structure.
Responsibilities include
- Ensure accurate calculations in alignment with the terms outlined in governing documents, and monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, management fees, waterfall calculations, workpapers, and accrual schedules.
- Track and process investor capital calls and distributions and assist with investor inquiries and ad-hoc requests.
- Coordinate with independent auditors and fund administrators on AUP, audit testing, and financial reporting matters.
Requirements:
2-4 years of previous experience in a fund accounting role
- Must have private equity experience
- Experience with NAV calculations,, waterfall calculations, IRR, carried interest, performance metrics, and partner allocations, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software, with experience in financial statement preparation, fund accounting, and financial reporting (Dynamo experience a plus).
Salary : $50 - $65
