What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Fund Accountant position at Taurus Search?
My client, an up and coming firm specializing in Private Equity and Venture Capital funds are looking to grow their team and bring in a number of Senior Fund Accountants to service their ever increasing clientele.

A general foundation of private equity fund accounting experience is highly preferred but a mixture of other asset classes are also welcome.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities for assigned funds, including but not limited to: NAV calculations, cash reconciliations, portfolio valuation, expense accruals, and investor capital activity.
- Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and regulatory filings in accordance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables.
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients and funds, including setup of accounting systems and processes.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public, corporate, and/or fund accounting, preferably with exposure to financial services clients.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, private equity is a BIG plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, open-minded, and strong work-ethic.
