VP, Investment Accountant

One of the top Financial Services firms in the world is expanding and looking to add a VP to its Investment Accounting team. The role will oversee a mix accounting and finance, offers a ton of room for growth and development, and pays well above the market value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s capabilities, products, and services tailored for insurance companies.
• Stay informed about the evolving regulatory landscape and new accounting standards, effectively communicating their implications to ensure compliance across various accounting frameworks (e.g., IFRS, US Statutory, US GAAP).
• Support business development efforts, onboarding of new clients, and retention initiatives within the insurance sector by collaborating with other teams across the firm.
• Act as the accounting representative on cross-functional projects and working groups, contributing to the achievement of critical business and client objectives.
• Enhance and maintain investment reporting production and control processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and adapt to business and product changes, ensuring all procedures align with current practices.
• Partner with vendors to articulate development priorities clearly and advocate for their timely completion.
• Provide expert-level guidance during client interactions, both in person and over the phone, on accounting-related matters.
• Deliver periodic training sessions for the Investment Accounting Team.
• Review quarterly NAIC and other regulatory reconciliations, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution of discrepancies.
• Assist with audits by reviewing results, recommending control improvements, and addressing any follow-up inquiries.

In-Office Policy: 4x a Week in Princeton, NJ

Compensation: $150K - $185K Base Salary, $185K - $220K All In

6-15 Years of Investment Accounting Experience

Derivatives Experience Required
