Responsibilities
- Ensure policy decisions, procedures, and operations comply with MSTS and Department of Energy regulations, as well as federal and state laws.
- Use independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to evaluate alternative methods of problem-solving and resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and/or assist with implementation of site, facility, and project-specific security plans, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in establishing Security Areas.
- Collaborate with Technical Analysts in developing and revising Security Analyses.
- Provide facility security representative services, Foreign Ownership, Control, and Influence, and Facility Clearance Level, Lock and Key Control Officer duties.
- Represent the Security Planning & Operations Section at meetings and consultations with customer representatives, governmental security agencies, and industry associates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position or equivalent training and experience plus a minimum of 5 years of progressive related experience.
- Must have a Q-clearance.
- Able to work independently on Safeguards and Security program objectives and strategies.
- Able to develop and maintain relationships with all levels of employees throughout the company, customers, outside agencies, and various levels of personnel within parent organizations.
