Job Summary:
Mission Union School District is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Technology Coordinator to oversee all aspects of technology within our small school environment. This position requires a versatile professional who can manage, maintain, and improve technology infrastructure while providing technical support to staff and students. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills to address the varying needs of a small school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot all school technology, including computers, tablets, printers, projectors, and interactive whiteboards.
- Provide technical support for teachers, staff, and students.
- Manage the school’s network, internet connectivity, and security systems.
- Oversee and maintain student information systems, learning management systems, and administrative databases.
- Ensure compliance with district and state technology policies, including cybersecurity measures and data privacy laws.
- Assist in the implementation of educational technology and provide training to staff on technology integration.
- Coordinate technology purchases, upgrades, and inventory management.
- Work with vendors and service providers to ensure effective technology solutions.
- Provide basic website maintenance and updates as needed.
- Stay informed on emerging technology trends and recommend improvements for the school’s technology infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in IT support, networking, or educational technology.
- Familiarity with both Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as mobile device management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace for Education and school-based software is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry technology equipment as needed.
