Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic coach to lead our volleyball program at Mission University. Mission University is a dually affiliated school in the NAIA and NCCAA Division 1. Mission University competes in the American Midwest Conference. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport and a commitment to developing student athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This role involves management of all aspects of a college level program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective training programs
- Conduct regular practice sessions focusing on skill development, strategy, and teamwork.
- Monitor players' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their performance.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among all participants.
- Organize and and schedule competitions in line with NAIA guidelines
- Recruitment and retention of student-athletes
- Lead all volleyball fundraising efforts.
- Monitor student-athlete academic progress
- Work effectively within budget
- Attend athletic staff meetings
- Assist with game day operations
- Other duties as required
Experience
- Previous experience in sports coaching, particularly in volleyball, is preferred.
- Skills in behavior management to effectively guide young athletes.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience recruiting student-athletes
