Job Summary
Mission Yard Care has been in operation for over a decade in Utah County and has serviced more than 300 customers. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Manager for the 2025 season (March to November) to oversee and grow our landscape and lawn maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, strong organization skills, a natural drive to ensure customer satisfaction, and an attitude that approaches the business as if they were the owner.
The Field Manager will be a crew lead for weekly lawn maintenance at $25 per hour with the opportunity to earn up to $30 per hour for landscape projects after demonstrating the ability to run a project in the field with minimal supervision.
This position also has the opportunity for profit sharing after the individual has successfully worked a minimum of one year and exceeded expectations in terms of their ability to be a dependable and capable field manager with consistently high marks from customer feedback. Profit sharing would require continued work in the field and overseeing and leading landscape projects and maintenance crews, in additiont to meeting agreed-upon busioness growth goals.
The field manager will also be responsible for training all new crew memebers on equipment use, safety procedures, trailer loading and unloading processes, and performing quality checks on their work in the field to ensure customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Supervise and lead one or more teams of landscape maintenance professionals, ensuring they meet performance standards and adhere to safety protocols.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and quality control of landscape activities, including lawn care, spring and fall cleanups, sprinkler repairs and projects, sod installs, tree trimming, garden maintenance, hedging bushes, and other provided services.
- Design and implement effective irrigation systems to optimize water usage and promote healthy plant and grass growth.
- Maintain equipment and tools necessary for landscape operations, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of work performed and identify areas for improvement.
- Train new employees on best practices in landscape maintenance, irrigation techniques, and safety measures.
- Collaborate with ownership to develop business strategies that drive growth and enhance service offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related field with a focus on supervising teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Knowledge of landscape design principles, tree care practices, and garden maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance is preferred.
- Abilty to operate Ditch Witch or Bob Cat and zero turn mowers
- Experience pulling trailers with heavy loads
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while managing physical demands of the job.
