Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible forthemanagement of accounts receivable and cash receipts in the accounting and E.H.R. software. This is an onsite position that works with a variety of technology based tools as well as in-person transactions for clients on campus.
Position Responsibilities:
Judy Retterath Withdrawal Management Center billing & accounts receivable
Prepare monthly billings for county contracts.
- Process insurance claims and private pay billings.
- Communication with clients regarding past due accounts.
- Communication with JRWMC staff regarding client documentation and pre-authorizations.
- Monthly AR reconciliation between systems.
- Facilitate quarterly AR review with program staff.
Housing Support Programs billing & accounts receivable
- Prepare monthly invoice for housing support programs.
- Submit supplemental services billings through state of MN system.
- Communication with county contacts and program staff.
- Monthly AR reconciliation between systems.
- Facilitate quarterly A/R review with program staff.
Cash Receipts & Cash Handling
- Post all cash receipts in MIP Abila and EchoVantage systems.
- Prepare weekly bank deposits.
- Reconcile monthly donor contributions with Development team.
- Maintain Administration office petty cash fund.
General Office/Customer Service
- Greet visitors and provide basic, inter-campus directions as needed.
- Sort and distribute mail.
- Process client payments in-person and via telephone.
- Back-up assistance with phone system as needed.
Other tasks as requested by the Finance Director
Position Qualifications
Experience:
- Competency in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, E.H.R., and accounting software.
- Two or more years’ experience in accounts receivable & collections, preferably with experience in medical and state billing.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with people from diverse racial, cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
Other Requirements
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and climb (ascend and descend) flights of stairs.
- Other lifting or physical requirements as added from time to time, or as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range: $22.00 – $24.50/hours depending on qualifications & experience
