Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Processing Lead to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will provide courteous and professional services to donors by assisting at the donation door with their donations, processing and sorting the donations, stocking the items, cleaning and organizing stockroom, and assisting volunteers to ensure the success of Missions Thrift Store. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, customer service, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations in the donation center, ensuring efficient processes and workflows
- Implement and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Present a professional, clean appearance and provides courteous service to all customers, donors, and volunteers
- Responds quickly to bell for customer service needed at the donation door
- Assists customers lifting the donated items
- Utilizes resources to assist with heavy lifting, such as a hand truck, forklift (certification needed if applicable), or other staff to help
- Assists drivers with unloading of large and heavy donated items and with loading of items for recycling or delivery
- Assists customers loading items in vehicles
- Evaluate condition and type of acceptable merchandise prior to accepting donations
- Maintain a clean and organized processing room and leads volunteers on doing the same
- Follow pricing guidelines to properly mark items for sale
- Inspect and bring priced items out to the floor for display and stocking
- Other duties as assigned including point of sale transactions
Education and Experience
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 1 year related experience and/or training

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
