Job Description: SAP HANA Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist –Manufacturing
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled SAP HANA Master Data Management Specialist to manage and optimize master data processes for our hollow metal door manufacturing operations. This role ensures high-quality, accurate and consistent data across SAP S/4 HANA with a focus on materials, BOM, routings, vendors, and customer configurations essential to engineered-to-order production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data objects including Material Master, BOMS, Routings, Work Centers, Vendors and Customers in SAP S/4 HANA
- Develop and enforce data standards and governance processes specific to hollow metal door manufacturing – including steel types, gauge, profile, fire ratings, and hardware dependencies.
- Manage complex product configurations using SAP Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC)
- Coordinate and validate data migrations and cutovers for system upgrades, new plant setups or business expansions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Distribution to ensure accurate master data support of custom product workflows
- Monitor and maintain data quality through SAP MDG, custom workflows and validation reports.
- Support SAP integrations with PLM, Digital Manufacturing and future state CAM
- Train internal teams on material data best practices, usage of classifications, variant tables and dependencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of experience managing SAP Master Data in discrete manufacturing, preferably in the building materials or metal fabrication industry
- Knowledge of data quality techniques, governance frameworks and workflow designs.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally
