What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Estimator position at MissionXI?
MissionXI are currently recruiting for a Chief Estimator to join one of Virginia's and the nation's most innovative Data Center Design-Build , Contracting and Facilities Management experts.
Our client is renowned for their Mission Critical expertise, working closely on many of the largest hyperscale, colocation and campus builds taking place across the US.
They're based out of Northern Virginia , valuing integrity, honesty and speed of execution as key character traits for all new incoming employees.
Responsibilities for the role :
- Overseeing the estimation of costs, timeframes, materials, labor and equipment required for a variety of Data Center and Mission Critical builds across the US
- Lead bid preparation and RFP management, working closely with sales, vendors and subcontractors to secure strong pricing and well negotiated support that align with the bid objectives
- Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors in a variety of fields and geographies, leading pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions and identify new partners to fill gaps in sourcing
- Lead the creation of BOM and Submissions and update the Estimate Tracker to ensure on-time delivery
- Manage a team of Estimators, supporting their development, orientation and retention
