Missisquoi Valley School District is seeking a Teen Programming Coordinator to create and oversee a variety of programs for teens after school.
This position requires excellent time management, strong leadership skills, creative problem solving, basic computer and data management skills, the ability to work collaboratively with school-day staff members and community members, and of course, enthusiasm when working with young adults. This position has endless possibilities to make a big difference in our community!
In-person hours are 2pm - 5:30pm M-Th with a flexible remote schedule for the remaining hours. Obligations include district team meetings, occasional state trainings, community and school events, and professional development.
For the right candidate, this position can be flexible to suit their lifestyle needs. It can be part-time (20 hrs/wk, limited benefits) or full-time (40 hrs/week, year-round, full benefits) upon discussion with the hiring committee.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Coordinate and lead teen programs, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
Develop and implement program activities that promote college & career readiness, citizenship, and positive enrichment.
Manage volunteers and supervise staff, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Hire and lead a team to implement programming and ensure appropriate safety staff:student ratios every day.
Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and complete federal and state reports.
Communicate with stakeholders, community members, and parents to provide updates and gather feedback.
Facilitate behavioral interventions as needed through a youth empowerment lens.
Participate in professional development as relevant.
Represent the program and students at community and school events.
Develop new programs in response to student needs.
Adhere to 21st Century Learning Grant, Act 78, CACFP, and MVSD district standards.
Manage and train staff on state-funded meal programs.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
