About the Position:
- The Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration is seeking a Client Support Technician II for the Office of Information Technology.
- Technical customer support and training for end-users, set-up and maintenance of desktop and laptop computers
- Installation of computer software and peripherals
- Support for software applications (ex O365, Office Suite)
- Assisting the network team in configuring network devices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Typically requires High School Diploma or high school equivalency and relevant technical knowledge
- An understanding of office automation and office systems operating environments and/or complex communication devices
- 1-3 years of end user support experience
- **Agency Preferred Qualifications: A college degree in an IT specific area of study is preferred.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- This position requires experience in system administration, maintenance, and end-user IT support to include Windows OS
- Experience with enterprise-level help desk ticketing systems
- Extensive knowledge of PC hardware and software applications
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite and Office 365
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving skills, and highly detail-oriented, strong document skills, and able to make connections between similar technical issues
- Must be a self-starter who proactively responds to customer needs and agency priorities
- Provides a full range of on-site and remote end user support primarily in an office automation and office systems operating environment
- Provides support for complex communication devices
- Provides technical support to clients by identifying, analyzing and resolving client issues. Issues may vary from simple to more complex but incumbents at this level handle the more complicated issues
- Based on the nature of issues resolved, performs and provides analysis on problem issue trends and provides input on proactively addressing these problems.
