About the JobThe Lab Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the Verona laboratory at the direction of the Plant Chemist. This includes lab equipment preventative maintenance, stocking the lab, and routine analysis of samples.Operation and maintenance of standard laboratory equipment including the Carbon Sulfur Determinator, XRF machine, Reactivity testing equipment, Muffle Furnace, various Lab Crushers, Splitters, and Sieve Analysis devicesGeneral housekeeping of the main laboratory and prep laboratoryEnsuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced with the necessary materialsCollect and analyze production samples at required intervals or as directedEnter the resulting quality data into the LIMS software and inform the appropriate supervisor or manager of the results.Analyze required customer loadout samples from loadout trucks.Other duties, as assigned.Required Qualifications Education / Experience : Bachelors of Science or Associates Degree in Chemistry or other relevant field of study, preferred.2 to 4 years of laboratory experience preferred.Skills : Strong computer skills using MS Office suite of products required.Behaviors : Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels of people within our fast-paced organization required. Must have good time management skills to perform sample preparation.
