AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER ORDERLY
CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK:
Seeking a highly motivated individual that can anticipate the needs of the unit and respond accordingly. A team player with a positive attitude that is punctual, reliable, able to adjust to a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Additional essential functions may be identified and included as needed. The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Restocking of necessary items
- Assist with directing family members to and from the unit
- Assist with admitting patients to the unit (by connecting patient’s to monitors, applying Bair Hugger, filling and applying ice packs, providing extra blankets, and extra fluids if needed.)
- Emptying and replacing linen hampers
- Assisting patients with dressing, going to restroom, and discharging to their vehicle (Must be able to assist with patient lifting.)
- Stripping, cleaning, remaking stretchers, and taking stretchers to Pre-Op.
- Answering phone calls

Education:
Graduate of four-year high school or equivalent (GED).
