Essential Duties
The RA’s primary responsibility is to act as a facilitator for the residence hall community and to enhance the social, educational, spiritual, intellectual, physical, vocational, cultural and environmental development of each of their residents.
The RA articulates for students the philosophy and policies of Housing and the University. RAs represent the Office of Housing & Residence Life and act as a role model for students.
Minimum Qualifications

Student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 at the time of application.
Student must be in good academic and judicial standing with MUW or transfer university.
Student must attend all of Fall and Spring training.
Completion of 30 credit hours at the end of the spring semester prior to employment start date.

Resident Advisors are an integral part of Housing & Residence Life. RAs are the staff members who have the most direct and frequent contact with students. The six basic roles of an RA are 1) Community Facilitator, 2) Programmer, 3) Referral Agent, 4) Team Member, 5) Administrator, and 6) University Representative. The RA is responsible to the Residence Director, the professional staff member in the residence hall.
