What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Supervisor - Social Services position at Missouri Alliance for Children & Families?
Overview
The Training and Development Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the training, coaching and consultation provided to staff within the Specialized and Foster Care Case Management (FCCM) contracts; this includes training of Owner Agency staff working with the Missouri Alliance for Children and Families (MACF) and/or FCCM clients. The Training and Development Supervisor will provide direct supervision to the MACF Training team. The Training and Development Supervisor develops new content and ensures consistent implementation of training provided to all staff. The Training and Development Supervisor will have lead responsibilities for training and coaching supervisory staff within the FCCM partner agencies and MACF staff. The Training and Development Supervisor will ensure MACF care management and administrative staff receive the required in-service training as per CD and Council on Accreditation standards.
Duties
a. Provide supervision of all MACF Training team members.
1. Train new trainers as they on-board
2. Coach MACF Trainers and assist in their professional development.
3. Ensure consistent training practices are implemented state-wide.
4. Review training documentation to ensure completed.
5. Fill in training sessions as needed.
b. Lead for the provision of training content to MACF and FCCM supervisory staff.
1. Provide initial supervisory training to newly hired supervisors for FCCM partner agencies and MACF staff.
2. Provide on-going training content specific to supervisors when needed.
3. Provide coaching opportunities for supervisors.
c. Assist with training staff in the Treatment Foster Care program.
d. Ensure training materials are current and include any contract, policy, and/or accrediting body changes.
e. Lead in developing staff guides/FAQ documents/manuals/handouts.
f. Coordinate with the Children’s Division on training requests and requirements.
g. Ensure coordination of virtual trainings for sessions such as Legal Aspects, Trauma, Advanced Human Trafficking, etc.
h. Coordinate with other MACF departments and FCCM agencies to provide training and refresher courses as needed.
i. Lead on developing the yearly MACF Training Calendar and ensuring all MACF staff are notified and receive annual training.
j. Assist in the development of new training content by conducting a yearly Needs Assessment for content suggestions.
k. Develop an Annual Training Plan adhering to all accreditation standard regulations.
l. Attend all FCCM OMG meetings.
m. Attend Specialized All-Team meetings as held.
n. Manage the Relias platform for developing training plans for MACF staff.
o. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
a. Proficient in or ability to become proficient in the Wraparound Process, Missouri Practice Model programming/contract requirements and their applications.
b. Proficient in the use of software - FACES and CSWIS.
c. Excellent communication skills.
d. Able to present information in a variety of ways to accommodate different learning styles.
e. Knowledge of Missouri’s Child Welfare System.
f. The ability to provide constructive feedback to staff that will enable them to correct any noted deficiencies.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling or related human behavioral science field is required. A Master’s degree in education, social work, counseling or related human behavioral science field is preferred. Coursework must include 30 semester or 45 quarter hours either in development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measure, or therapeutic techniques, such as social work, psychology, guidance counseling, or education.
A minimum of five years of experience in training others in the delivery of protective social services, family preservation services or targeted case management services in a public or private agency is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
