- NextGen Support
- Serve as the administrative lead for contracts, payments, calendar and registration forms related to the Next Generation Team.
- Collaborate with the NextGen team to plan and execute initiatives.
- Organize logistics for onsite, offsite, and online meetings and events.
- Maintain database records for NextGen leaders for all 500 churches in Missouri.
- Coordinate distribution of birthday cards and work anniversary cards to local leaders.
- Track and maintain Safe Gatherings certifications for appointed clergy.
- Maintain office records, Conference building calendar, NextGen staff calendars and Associate Director’s calendar.
- Gather and process data pre- and post-events to see trends to tell a story, for tracking purposes.
- Unite Conference Support
- Pre-Event
- Coordinate registration: monitor and maintain church and individual registration forms, follow-up on payments and assist with refunds, assist churches with registration inquiries, distribute dorm allotments and help churches stay within Safe Gatherings ratios.
- Collaborate with the communications team to gather content for promotional emails and other needed marketing placements.
- Help maintain the UNITE website with event-related information.
- Participate in planning meetings when necessary and track progress on projects.
- Manage contracts for talent, vendors and ministry partners.
- Gather stage-time content from talent.
- On-Site Coordination
- Coordinate room preparations for breakouts and main session alongside host school.
- Assist in preparing talent rooms and providing logistical support for them.
- Develop an effective process for registration, med intake, distribution of event materials, schedules and signage in coordination with host school.
- Provide supply runs for any missing materials needed.
- Post-Event Support
- Work with the communications team to send out post-event evaluations for leaders, parents and students.
- Format and summarize feedback for easy analysis and distribution.
- Assist with post-event reporting, follow-ups and thank-you notes.
- Collaboration/Coordination
- Attend and collaborate with the NextGen team on ministries throughout the Conference.
- Work with the NextGen Associate Director to ensure all work aligns with Conference vision and mission.
- Work with the Bishop, directors, chancellor, Cabinet and Mission Council to fulfill the vision of the Conference – relentlessly lead our churches to become outwardly focused and spiritually centered Christ followers.
Minimum Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Safe Gatherings Certification
Desired Experience
- Active faith in Jesus Christ
- Undergraduate or graduate education in areas like business, communication, organizational leadership, etc.
- Experience in kids, youth or college-aged ministry preferred
- Familiarity with the United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan tradition
- Strong administrative and project management skills

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range, depending upon experience, is $47,000-$57,000 (including housing if clergy). Position will be Full-Time Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Employer-provided health insurance through a “private exchange” maintained by the United Methodist Church. Employee will be provided an employer-contribution sufficient to purchase three of the six plans offered on the private exchange with the option to purchase increased health, dental and vision coverage through tax-free payroll withholdings.
- An employer contribution to the United Methodist 403(b) retirement plan known as the “United Methodist Personal Investment Plan” in the amount of 12% of salary. Employee may contribute additional amounts on a pre-tax, after-tax or Roth basis through payroll withholdings. Optional death and disability coverage available through payroll withholdings.
- Paid-Time Office accruing at a rate equal to two weeks in initial years of employment and increasing up to four weeks after several years.
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed per the Conference reimbursement policy outlined in the Employee Handbook.
