What are the responsibilities and job description for the Division Vice President of Data Strategy and Operations position at Missouri Hospital Association?
The Hospital Industry Data Institute (HIDI), the data company of the Missouri Hospital Association (MHA), is seeking a division vice president of data strategy and operations to lead multiple data delivery teams responsible for building and supporting HIDI data programs, pipelines, platforms and data products. This role is integral to HIDI’s suite of data product and service offerings and will partner closely with clients, product owners, data science (research/analytics) and information technology teams to drive our data strategy and produce valuable data assets. The division vice president of data strategy and operations will leverage their strong technical background, passion for data and leadership skills to guide our team to further enhance our data-driven product and service offerings.
Must possess a master’s degree in information technology management, health information technology and/or equivalent education and experience with a minimum of ten years of experience with interoperability of health data platforms and technical environments including cloud-based environments. Ideal candidate must have knowledge of IT best practices related to software as a service, data warehousing and analytics, web-based systems architecture, application development and business intelligence. Experience in data services and product development with client management is required. Must have experience working collaboratively across organizations, leading teams and possess excellent communication skills. An executive presence and the ability to work well with senior executives to identify and prioritize how data and technology will be used to attain enterprise objectives is required. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on relating technical issues to nontechnical leadership and staff. A broad knowledge of HIPAA and state and federal guidelines on privacy is required.
This position is eligible for working remotely on a full‑time basis. Ideally, candidate should live within 2-3 hour driving distance from our corporate offices in Jefferson City, Missouri, as the employee will be requested to attend meetings in person from time to time. The employee must be able to travel to and from the corporate offices without any restrictions.
