What are the responsibilities and job description for the FACILITIES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ASSISTANT position at Missouri S&T?
The Facilities Student Assistant provides general support to the university’s Facility Planning and Operations team. This position offers hands-on experience in a professional facilities setting and is ideal for students interested in learning more about building operations, project support, and workplace organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with organizing tools, materials, and work areas
- Help maintain a clean and orderly environment in storage and project support areas
- Assist with delivery, pickup, and basic handling of supplies and materials under supervision
- Remove and replace basic non-permanent items such as window decals, wall signage, and stickers from interior surfaces
- Support tradesmen and other staff with light preparation and cleanup tasks
- Provide general cleanup of indoor work areas after tasks are completed
- Perform other similar and appropriate duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and ask questions
- Comfortable working both independently and alongside team members
- Able to lift light items and move around campus as needed
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
