Job Summary
The Inventory Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the inventory management processes within our organization. This position is responsible for ensuring that inventory levels are maintained efficiently, supporting supply chain operations, and enhancing overall productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience in managing inventory within a distribution center or similar environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee finished goods inventory for its full life cycle
- Ensure up-to-date inventory counts
- Ensure inventory movement is logged accurately and timely
- Continuous cycle counting to ensure accuracy
- Examine levels of raw materials and supplies
- Report needed levels of inventory when low on targeted materials
- Track packaging supplies
- Document daily receipts into the inventory
- Partner with procurement to manage stock levels of supplies
- Assist in consumption forecasting for solid ordering planning
- Manage inventory levels for drop-ship customers
- Maintaining daily records and logs of inventory and movement
- Work tickets for historical tracking
- Daily addition and deduction of inventory through work orders and item fulfillment
- Support inventory movement and management of accuracy for 3PL partners within SOS
- Analyze and inspect inbound receipts for accuracy and damages
- Log and report damages or shortages
- Analyze receiving methods and suggest improvements
- Communicate inventory status and potential shortages
- Manage Cameron's product line
- Maintain inventory documentation shared with Camerons vendors
- Pick and pack weekly requested orders
- Report packaging needs based on orders
- Item spec support
- Assist in BOM management - entry, updates, and initial set
- Assist in TIHI management - entry, updates, builds
- TIHI, labeling requirements, product details as needed
- Inventory space management
- Consolidation of inventory locations
- Product mapping and bin location management
Skills
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Experience in inventory management within a distribution center or similar setting.
- Proficient in supply chain management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with data mining techniques to extract valuable insights from large datasets.
- Knowledge of analytics tools, particularly SOS Inventory, for data visualization and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
