What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Assistant Professor (Accountancy) 9 month appt position at Missouri State University?
Description of Primary Duties
The successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate and graduate level in tax. Candidates will also be expected to maintain an active publishing agenda and engage in university and professional service. The normal teaching load is 12 hours per semester.
While we have posted a Clinical Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor, only one position will be filled.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
The minimum acceptable qualifications for the Clinical Assistant Professor rank are determined by the department and approved by the Dean and the Provost. Clinical Faculty must be qualified as defined by professional / discipline standards, have practical experience appropriate for the responsibilities assigned, and must maintain appropriate professional credentials. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
Additional Qualifications
The clinical position requires a Masters in Accounting or Business Administration from an AACSB-accredited institution with 18-graduate credit hours in an accounting, 5 years of professional accounting experience ending at a supervisory level, and an accounting certification. OR the clinical position can have a JD from an ABA accredited law school with appropriate academic preparation in taxation such as an LLM in taxation from an ABA accredited law school or a masters in taxation from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to working in diverse environments and / or with students from diverse background.
