What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Assistant Professor (Entertainment Management) - 9 month appt position at Missouri State University?
Description of Primary Duties
The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate-level entertainment management courses; secondary teaching assignments in management-related classes Principles of Management) may be at the undergraduate or graduate level. The standard teaching load is 12 hours per semester (four courses). Candidates will also support the success of our Entertainment Management Association, one of the Colleges signature student organizations, serve as an ex officio member of the Entertainment Management (Alumni) Advisory Council, and meet university service requirements. All candidates must be committed to working for the professional success of all students.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
The minimum acceptable qualifications for the Clinical Assistant Professor rank are determined by the department and approved by the Dean and the Provost. Clinical Faculty must be qualified as defined by professional / discipline standards, have practical experience appropriate for the responsibilities assigned, and must maintain appropriate professional credentials.
Additional Qualifications
Successful candidates will hold a Doctorate in Management or Business Administration with an emphasis in Entertainment Management or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution, or a masters degree in business from an AACSB-accredited institution and have 6 years of significant experience, including leadership role(s), in the entertainment industry or a closely related field. Candidates must have experience teaching at the undergraduate and / or graduate levels and must be committed to working for the professional success of all students.
