Description of Primary Duties
- Responsible for managing all program marketing and social media requirements, including posting regularly on socials, creating flyers, and general promotion of events.
- Assist in recording attendance data and keeping track of the Points System within the scholarship.
- Assist in creating the training sessions for Centennial Leaders facilitators throughout the fall semester.
- Assist in preparing for all leadership program sessions, ensuring appropriate supplies are available and copies are made.
- Attend leadership program sessions as needed/able and serve as a resource to participants and facilitators.
- Assist with coordinating Sample Springfield including marketing, general correspondence, compiling financial transactions and evaluations.
- Meet with Leadership Programs Graduate Assistant on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties and functions for the Office of Student Engagement as assigned. This may include general office needs such as answering phone calls, answering walk-in questions, general typing/filing, etc.
Required Qualifications
The Leadership Development Student Specialist must be enrolled at Missouri State University. The Student Specialist must maintain good academic standing (at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale), good disciplinary standing, and be a full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. The position requires a 15-20 hours/week commitment. Weekend and weeknight availability is preferred, but can be flexible.

Additional Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Centennial Leaders (or another leadership development program) and event planning/organizing is ideal. This person should have a positive attitude, be flexible, organized and dedicated. This person will need to be an excellent listener, but confident to make decisions on their own. Web page updating and design experience a plus. This position would start in Fall 2025. Availability for training toward the end of the SP25 semester would be preferred.
