Description of Primary Duties
Missouri State University-West Plains seeks per-course faculty to teach courses in Political Science.
Responsibilities include teaching assigned courses; grading student work in a timely manner; availability for student assistance related to the course; submitting attendance and midterm/final grades by the deadline; submitting course assessment by the deadline; and participating in required training.
Classes may be scheduled during the day or evening hours and may be seated, online, blended, or interactive video.
Per-course faculty members are appointed on a semester basis only. The hours which per-course faculty are allowed to teach each semester are determined by current regulations. Consult with the Office of Academic Affairs to determine the number of hours allowed.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Per Course Faculty should possess a master’s degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean. Bachelor’s degree may be acceptable in certain subject areas as determined by the Dean.
