General Function
The Instructor rank is a tenure-track position for West Plains only. The Instructor is a member of the ranked faculty whose duties require effectiveness in teaching, a commitment to advanced studies in the field or to research appropriate to the discipline, and a willingness to serve the academic unit, college and/or University. The Instructor’s teaching responsibilities are assigned by the academic department head and may include serving as an academic advisor.
Description of Primary Duties
The Program Director/instructor is responsible for the organization of a new degree program in veterinary technology. The program director will be responsible for the administration, continuous program review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of the program as well as teaching courses in veterinary technology.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Instructor are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook.
Additional Qualifications
Must possess an associate degree from an AVMA accredited program with a current AVMA credential or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DMV).
Three years of field experience required.
