The Birthday Party Host delivers excellent service to Family Splash Center Birthday Party groups. Responds to guest needs, helps monitor pool area during the party, and maintains cleanliness and organization of party room area.

• Provides excellent service to pool party guests.  Greets children and adults, making them feel welcome. Learns and uses guest names. Thanks guests for hosting their party at the Y.
• Directs party guests to changing rooms, party room, and Family Splash Center.
• Assists with guest needs such as set up, towels, tables, general questions throughout the party and clean up. 
• Assists Aquatics staff with ensuring safety in and around the pool area by being knowledgeable about all pool safety rules and procedures, helping to observing patrons and communicating or redirecting as needed.
• Promotes YMCA memberships and programs by answering questions and providing promotional materials to guests. 
• Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services and facility safety/emergency response.
• Handles and resolves guest concerns and informs Member Services Team Leader of unusual or unresolved issues.

Part Time Shifts Available:

• Saturday/Sunday, 11:00 am-7:30 pm

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Previous customer service or related program experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills required. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community required.  Comfort with being around the pool area required.

The First International Bank & Trust Family Splash Center at the YMCA opened in April 2019.  The warm water, renovated pool will offer water slides and play features, swim lessons, fitness classes and lap swim, therapeutic jets for hydro therapy, and Birthday Party program & space.
