As a Full Time Lifeguard at our YMCA, you will have the opportunity to serve as a leader, assure swimmer safety and create a positive aquatics atmosphere for pool users.

In this role, you can look forward to:

• Ensuring safety in and around the pool area
• Responding appropriately to emergencies
• Being a positive role model and resource for other Aquatics staff
• Maintaining a clean, safe pool area
• Communicating appropriately with parents, participants and members

Full Time:

• Tuesday-Friday, 5:00 am-2:00 pm
• Saturday, 6:00 am-11:00 am

We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and Lifeguard experience preferred. The YMCA offers FREE Lifeguard Certification Classes to those who commit to working at the YMCA upon completion of certification. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.

The First International Bank & Trust Family Splash Center at the YMCA opened in April 2019. The warm water, renovated pool will offer water slides and play features, swim lessons, fitness classes and lap swim, therapeutic jets for hydro therapy, and Birthday Party program & space.
