An Embroidery Machine Operator completes all aspects of high-quality embroidery work including preparing materials for embroidery, operating computerized embroidery machines, and completing finishing of jobs as needed. This position reports directly to company management and/or Embroidery Operator Supervisor. This position will work 40 hours/week, excluding overtime needs.

Embroidery Machine Operator Job Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to high-quality results within a production environment.
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail that results in is error-free work.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to perform work responsibilities with little or no supervision following a new hire training period. (Training and supervision will be provided as needed for ongoing skills development for new embroidery and machine techniques.)
• Above average skills in verbal communications and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for most of an 8-hour shift (excluding breaks).
• Ability to lift 20 pounds.

Embroidery Machine Operator Specific Responsibilities of the Job

• Review work order before beginning a job to ensure understanding and identify potential issues and questions.
• Prepare machine with appropriate materials (e.g., thread) to complete a job.
• Perform data entry of design data to ensure proper execution of embroidery job.
• Hoop garments and ensure proper placement of logos.
• Review in-progress jobs on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and quality.

Embroidery Machine Operator Qualifications and Skills

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• No prior embroidery machine experience is required. On-the-job machine training will be provided during a 90-day new hire period.

Embroidery Machine Operator Shifts Available

• We are currently seeking employees for first and second shift. Work schedule for first shift is M-F -7:00AM - 3:30 PM. Schedule for second shift is M-Th - 2:00PM - 12AM - four 10-hour days/week, no Fridays unless mandatory overtime is scheduled. Voluntary overtime may also be available. The open positions are full-time positions, but we will also consider applications for part-time hours.
