Shooting Range and Retail Manager

Overview

Local leader in the retail firearms and range business is searching for a supervisor for the operations of a location. The ideal candidate will either have significant retail management experience and a strong knowledge of firearms, or preferably a background in working at and managing shooting ranges.

Duties

• Keeping up with trends in the firearms industry and maintaining product familiarity
• Buying used firearms from sellers off the street
• Maintain impeccable customer service ensuring the brand always looks good.
• Supervise and train retail staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory effectively, including stock replenishment and loss prevention strategies.
• Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and develop strategies to meet sales targets.
• Ensure staff are knowledgeable about products and promotions.
• Develop training programs to enhance team skills in customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing for merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment that adheres to company standards.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or a similar role.
• Strong skills in inventory management
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors.
• Proficient in using POS systems and other retail technology.
• Strong leadership abilities
• Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service.
