What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Preconstruction position at Mistick Construction?
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Vice President of Preconstruction.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage and implement our preconstruction process, including strategies, budgets, and schedules.
Review and approve all preconstruction deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Partner with clients, architects, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the preconstruction process.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Lead presentations and proposals for new business opportunities.
Participate in the negotiation and awarding of contracts, ensuring that all aspects are in line with company standards and client expectations.
Negotiate contracts and scopes of work in collaboration with the legal and project teams.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
10 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, engineering, and / or architecture with a focus on multifamily residential construction - preferably also with tax credit housing.
Strong knowledge of multifamily building systems, construction methods, and codes.
Proven success in managing large-scale, complex multifamily projects through preconstruction phases.
Proficiency in estimating software, scheduling tools, and construction management systems (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
