Join Mitchell College as we launch new programs and grow existing programs. We are seeking applicants for adjunct faculty positions in our Anatomy & Physiology lecture and laboratory courses specifically for the Nursing and Health and Exercise Science Programs. The faculty member in this role will provide practical hands-on instruction in an engaging learning environment, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies in order to enhance the learning experience of our students and achieve learning outcomes. In addition to disciplinary expertise, we are searching for a colleague who shares our passion for teaching-focused higher education, as well as demonstrated commitment to student success

Responsibilities 

Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through:

  • Able to teach on-campus with a course assignment in: Anatomy and Physiology lecture and/or lab environment for science and nursing majors.
  • Foster student success by communicating with students and members of Mitchell’s student support network  
  • Perform all duties related to course management and delivery.

Qualifications 

The successful candidate would demonstrate:

  • Strong academic and professional record
  • Strong active-learning skills for effective instruction
  • Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment
  • The highest levels of integrity at all times
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills

Required Credentials

  • Master’s degree or better in Anatomy & Physiology, or a Master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution

Preferred Credentials

  • Two or more years (either adjunct, full or part-time) teaching in a College and University setting.
  • Applied or practical work experience
