Overnight Client Advocate

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Client Advocate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals facing behavioral health challenges, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and assistance. This position requires a strong commitment to client welfare, effective communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex situations with empathy and professionalism.

Duties

• Provide support and advocacy for clients in behavioral health settings, ensuring their needs are met.
• Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Facilitate access to resources such as addiction counseling, crisis intervention services, and behavior management programs.
• Assist clients in navigating healthcare systems and accessing necessary services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Provide conflict management support during challenging situations, promoting positive resolutions.
• Engage in ongoing training related to first aid, behavioral health practices, and crisis intervention techniques.

Qualifications

• A background in social work or a related field is preferred.
• Certification in behavioral health or related areas is highly desirable.
• Experience in addiction counseling or crisis intervention is a plus.
• Strong skills in behavior management and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of childcare practices may be beneficial for working with younger clients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
