Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Northeast Region
Description
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the financial reporting processes for multiple business units within a global organization. This role is responsible for leading general ledger operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements, overseeing cash forecasting, and driving process improvement across accounting functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in US GAAP, team leadership, and a high attention to detail. The Accounting Manager will also partner cross-functionally to support strategic financial planning and internal/external audits while maintaining compliance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead general ledger activities including transactional oversight, tax reporting, and period-end close processes
Ensure accurate revenue recognition through review of contract terms and reconciliations
Oversee cash forecasting and disbursement requests, ensuring timely management of receivables and payables
Manage monthly and quarterly reconciliations, financial reporting packs, and compliance deliverables
Coordinate data aggregation across business units for financial analytics and risk assessments
Support internal and external audits related to financial reporting and processes
Partner with external service providers to ensure smooth financial transaction processing
Produce reports related to billing, collections, and ad hoc financial initiatives
Calculate and analyze quarterly commission payments, including responding to related inquiries
Collaborate with business leaders on financial planning, establishing KPIs, and tracking growth metrics
Supervise and mentor accounting team members, fostering performance and professional development
Lead special projects including ERP implementation, system upgrades, and M&A integration
Manage additional corporate accounting tasks, including compliance with indirect tax requirements
Required Skills
At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred
Demonstrated Leadership And Mentorship Abilities With Team Management Experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and analytical problem-solving skills
Experience working in multinational and fast-paced environments
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize work with ownership and accountability
Proficient in financial systems and tools, including ERP platforms, spreadsheets, and financial reporting systems
Desired Skills
Experience with global ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms
Familiarity with business planning and consolidation tools
Exposure to multinational consolidation and reporting processes
