Title: Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting
Location: Northeastern U.S. Region (Remote with periodic onsite presence)

Description:
The Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting is responsible for overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, interpreting technical accounting guidance, and ensuring adherence to financial compliance standards. This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, external audit coordination, and policy development while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and continuous improvements. The role includes responsibilities related to financial modeling, the adoption of new standards, and addressing complex accounting issues with clarity and precision.

Required Skills:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
Certification as a CPA (preferred)
Over seven years of progressive experience in accounting, with familiarity in financial services being advantageous
In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and applying technical accounting standards
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and financial reporting tools
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Clear and concise communication, with the ability to translate technical accounting matters to broader audiences
Proven ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage competing deadlines
Strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity

Desired Skills:
Experience with financial services products and associated accounting treatment
Familiarity with system implementation or transformation projects
Exposure to financial modeling for forecasting revenue and profitability
Experience leading or supporting special initiatives related to financial controls

Employment Type:
Full-Time

Compensation:
Pay range: $150,000 - $175,000 per year
