Title: Masters Level Therapist
Location: Hybrid within the Metropolitan Region
Description
This position involves providing trauma-informed individual and group counseling to individuals and families impacted by intimate partner violence (IPV). The Therapist will work with survivors, individuals causing harm, and children exposed to IPV to promote safety, healing, and behavioral change. This role includes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive prevention and intervention services aimed at supporting families and ensuring their well-being.
Responsibilities
Conduct home visits in coordination with team case planners.
Perform comprehensive assessments and create tailored service plans for families impacted by IPV.
Provide trauma-informed counseling and therapy to survivors, individuals causing harm, and children.
Facilitate evidence-based psychoeducational and accountability group sessions.
Maintain accurate and detailed case files for compliance and audit purposes.
Collaborate with team members to ensure client needs are met and safety is prioritized.
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development activities.
Engage in client case conferences and manage administrative support tasks as needed.
Required Skills
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or related field; licensure or eligibility preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience providing trauma-informed services for underserved families.
Familiarity with intervention programs for individuals causing harm and survivors of IPV.
Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practices, and family systems theories.
Strong understanding of regional domestic violence service systems and associated resources.
Effective communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Desired Skills
Training in batterer intervention programming (BIP) and experience with child welfare systems.
Familiarity with public benefits, legal systems, and housing resources.
