Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Establish efficient routes between machines, grinding areas, material storage, and assembly zones. Maintain awareness of material needs and ensure FIFO (first in, first out) usage.
- Production Support: Keep machine hoppers full and covered, and promptly empty grinders. Familiarize yourself with different types of resins and ensure the correct material is used.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean plant floor, free of spills and clutter. Follow proper procedures for cleaning and ensure all materials are properly identified.
- Inventory Management: Communicate inventory levels to supervisors and coordinate with shift Material Handlers for smooth transitions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform raw material changes and clean grinders, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Grade 12 education.
- Experience in material handling or injection molding preferred.
- Forklift handling proficiency.
- Understanding of Quality & Environmental Management Systems.
- Familiarity with forms, tags, and labels relevant to material handling.
