What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving - Shipper - Afternoon Shift position at Mitchell Plastics?
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Operations: Safely operate lift trucks in our shipping/receiving area. Pick products for shipments following FIFO order and ensure all staged shipments match paperwork and customer requirements.
Quality Assurance: Handle finished goods with care to prevent damage or deterioration. Communicate any shortages or discrepancies promptly to supervisors.
Container Management: Inspect and maintain returnable containers, ensuring proper sorting and cleaning. Document any damaged containers and assist in maintaining 5S standards in the breakdown area.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Shipper, Receiver, or Material Handler.
Completed lift truck safety course.
Secondary school diploma.
