Mitchell Technical College is seeking a Diesel Power Technology instructor to join the Mitchell Technical College (MTC) Team beginning August 1, 2025. The position is open until filled.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum three years’ experience (6,000 hours) in the industry or related work experience required.
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Pass a state and federal criminal background check.
Preferred Skills
- Passion for training with a high level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively, master change, work in groups, and have strong customer orientation.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have related industry experience, teaching experience, evidence of teaching skills, ability to create lesson plans and experience working with diverse student populations. Excellent time management, organizational, and attention to detail a plus.
The Instructor will be responsible for:
- Teaching assigned courses; assessing student progress in classroom and laboratory settings; developing and updating curriculum; and assisting with recruiting and advising students.
- Leadership in both academic and workforce areas to fulfill the educational goals and objectives of the Diesel Power Technology program and MTC.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires that the college’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which includes crime statistics be made available to prospective employees and prospective students upon request. Mitchell Tech’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported Clery crimes that occurred on campus and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
